Mrs. Jackson/Rutledge's Class

This week in Mrs Jackson and Mrs Rutledge's co teaching classroom, the students learned all about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  We read the story, My Brother Martin, written by his sister.  We learned lots of new things about the historical civil rights leader.  We discussed that the character of a person is what is most important, not the color of their skin.  The students also participated in a directed drawing of MLK.  This has been one of our favorite lessons this year.

Mrs. Harris' Class

We have had lots in fun in Mrs. Harris' classroom!  We celebrated Red Ribbon week by having Aggie football players come read to us.  Then we ended the Christmas break off with the play "Elf" and a surprise visit from Buddy the Elf himself!
