Mrs Armstrong's class finished red ribbon week with a visit from a coach (dad) and members of the Aggie football team!  Axel whose goal is to be a kicker one day, loved visiting with real football players!

Teachers and students participated in "Red Ribbon Week" at BSLK.  We learned to say "NO" to drugs and bullying!

Big Spring Lake spent the day celebrating Jump Start, Read for the Record led by Sally Landers.  Here are Mrs. Snead's and Mrs. C. Chamblee's classes enjoying Bunny Cakes together with Mrs. Landers, Max and Ruby (real bunnies).

Mrs. Fann

Mrs. Fann's Class had a blast at the Pumpkin Patch.  There is no better way to learn the life cycle of a pumpkin than to take your own pumpkin from the vine.

Mrs. Rainwater's class ended T is for teddy bear by having a teddy bear slumber party!

During counseling classes students at BSLK have been learning about "Tacky Words" and how they hurt other people.  Each class made a "Tacky Box" and signed a pledge to "put Tacky Words in their place".

What is your super power?  Our super power is learning to read!!!

We are learning to read one step at a time!  We learned that monster begins with M and we love doing the Monster Mash!!!

Mrs. Millwood

We are going green at BSLK! The next few weeks students will be learning the importance of recycling! Every student, faculty and staff member signed the pledge banner, "Pledging to Be GREEN" and Emeraldlicous aka Ms. Millwood, was in the library this week. Rumor has it there will be a recycling super hero visiting next week!

Mrs. Snead and Mrs. Brown's class loved the story about Boo, Boo Pumpkins.  We have both adopted baby boo, boo pumpkins and promise to take good care of them!

Mrs. Fann's class are loving their reading center, looking for letters in their special reading glasses!

Mrs. Mosley's Class

In Mrs. Mosley's Class we have been learning about our letter and this week we got to read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and watch all the letters go up the tree and then "BOOM BOOM" fall back out! We had so much fun!
