Mrs. Henderson’s boys
and girls have been learning all about Thanksgiving. During center time, the
children completed Pilgrim and Indian jobs so that they could compare and
contrast how their lives were different. Some of the things the boys
and girls did were sew, stuff mattresses, pick berries, carry water buckets on
their shoulders, fish, and plant corn. They realized that it was much more
difficult to be a Pilgrim or Indian. The children got to turkey bowl for math
to help learn how to add numbers together. They also learned about homes and how
they are built. They read the Three Little Pigs to go along with the theme. The
children made the three pigs houses at the end of the unit. Wow, just look at the fun and they learned so
much!!!!
