Mrs. P. Brown's class had fun learning the letter M.  M is for monster: monster glyph, monster stories, and dancing the Monster Mash.  Who knew a letter could be so sweet? We do, M is for Monster Marshmallows too, you know!

Library News

PTO's Grand Open House was a huge success at BSLK.  In the library you could find smiling children, parents and grandparents shopping and hanging out with our friend Curious George!

Mrs. A Brown's Class

After a week of campus cleanup and finishing a brief introduction to the alphabet Mrs. A. Brown's class enjoyed a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom party.  Children had a lot of fun popping balloons to find mystery letters. The students then decorated the found letters with items that shared the initial sound.

Mrs. Barclift's Class has had some tasty color days recently!  Parents have generously donated healthy & fun food items for each of the colors.  The children sample the foods each day.  Graphs, they learned, show information quickly.  They choose their favorite (or least favorite!) color food and place their choices on graphs.  Then, the students compare and contrast the choices and use new math vocabulary words like more, most, less, fewer, not as many, and (the favorite one!) a tie!  Some great photos were captured over the past two weeks.  Here you see each table family with a color graph!
