Mrs. Snead's Class

This week our theme was from the book Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom by Bill Martin Jr.

We love this book! I bet you have heard your  little darlings singing "Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom. Will there be enough room?" this week. In the book, the letters in the alphabet climb to the top of the coconut tree and there isn't enough room, so they all fall out.

Since the story is about a coconut tree, we decided to do a little investigation on coconuts. Mrs. Snead brought a REAL coconut to class and cracked it open. She had to use a hammer and a screwdriver to crack the shell! We found out that coconuts have liquid in them and they smell yummy! We even got to try a little shredded coconut for ourselves.  It was a little messy, but we loved it!

Mrs. C. Chamblee

Mrs. C. Chamblee's class has adjusted to school life very well.  They are learning letters, sounds, sight words, numbers and more.  But more important they have learned that to be an "Aggie" you have to always do your best, have good manners and be kind to one another.  They say, "It's GREAT to be an AGGIE!"
