Mrs. Snead's Class Celebrates 100th Day!

Hip, Hip Hooray it's the 100th day! We just celebrated the 100th day of kindergarten. We had so much fun! It's exciting to see how much we have learned! Here are a few pictures of our special day in Mrs. Snead's classroom.

Mrs. Ray's Class Celebrates 100th Day!

On January 24th Mrs. Ray's students became king/queen of the 100th day.  They even made official 100 day crowns and glasses.  They counted 100 stickers onto their crowns and made 100 day glasses to wear.  The day ended with a special 100 day snack.  Each child brought a bag of 100 of their favorite snack treats to add to the snack.  One student declared it "the best snack ever".s C

100th Day Fun in Mrs. Mosley's Class

Mrs. Mosley’s class has been having so much fun this year!! We are learning and growing so much! We recently just had our 100^th day of school!! It was packed with all kinds of 100^th day activities. We started off by counting  to 100 by 1s then 5s and then by 10s!! We also made some really silly 100^th day hats.

Throughout the day we also took time to do 10 different fun games: 10 times to make 100 ways to have fun chart! “10 Kiss your Brain” “10 Frog Jumps” “10 Circles” all kinds of fun! Making a 100 fish in the sea mural was a lot of fun too! 100 fish in the sea can you find me!?!

We ended our 100^th day by filling our bellies with a yummy 100^th day snack!!

Winter Animals

Mrs. Marsh's class read the book "The Mitten" written and illustrated by Jan Brett. 
They made a mitten puppet, colored all the animals from the story and re-told the story. 
They have been learning about animals in the winter.

Storytelling Festival Fun!

The Storytelling Festival at BSLK was on Thursday, December 20, 2012.  There were many fun activities happening on campus.  All students rotated to different stations throughout the school and had fun times.  They listened to stories in the library, participated in a Sing-A-Long activity, made Christmas crafts, and played reindeer games.  Look at the fun below! :)

Reindeers at BSLK!!

Last week during their reindeer unit, Mrs. Lee's class made  reindeer hats and wore them all day at school! The children and Mrs. Luce are having fun getting ready for Christmas and learning!

Santa Comes to BSLK!

This week, Santa came to Big Spring Lake Kindergarten to visit with all of our good little boys and girls! The children took pictures with Santa and told him everything they wanted! :) 
Pictured are a few of Mrs. Jackson's students. The children have also been making ornaments and Christmas projects in their classroom. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Big Spring Lake!
