Traveling the world with Bernie: Destination- Alaska!
The students in Mrs. Sims Enrichment class have been traveling the world with their friend Bernie, who is on a quest to visit as many places as he can. Each time he travels to a new destination, we plot the location on our world map and Bernie brings back pictures to share with the students about his journey. Bernie recently returned from Alaska and he explained to students how a snowflake is formed and shared his favorite snow book, The Story of Snow: The Science of Winter's Wonder. Afterwards, students got to create their own snowflake using the Paper Snow app on the iPad.
